The disappointing performance against England and losing the series left everyone speechless. Though the team has left for the Trio-Series in New Zealand and T20 World Cup still there might be no change in the squad.
Pakistan Cricket Board didn’t release any comment on their selection, the players who joined the squad remained inconsistent and that’s what everyone witnessed in the series against England.

With just over two weeks left for the big event in the cricket world and some of the former cricketers have started sharing their favorite teams and playing XIs.
Pakistani former pacers Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis have also revealed their playing XIs for Pakistan.
Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis’s Playing XI
Both of the iconic pacers have played a lot of matches or say series in Australia and are fully aware of the pitch situations. Since PCB announced the T20 World Cup squad, everyone has been criticizing the board for the wrong selection and raising questions about their credibility.

Their playing XIs are different from each other and it looks like Waqar went with those players that Pakistani cricket fans desire to have in the squad.

Wasim Akram just made one change by adding Azam Khan and Waqar Younis got rid of those players who were recently criticized for their poor performance.
Former Pacer’s Playing XI For T20 World Cup
Let’s have a look at the two teams:
Wasim Akram | Waqar Younis |
Mohammad Rizwan | Mohammad Rizwan |
Babar Azam | Babar Azam |
Shan Masood | Fakhar Zaman |
Iftikhar Ahmed | Shan Masood |
Azam Khan | Shoaib Malik |
Asif Ali | Asif Ali |
Shadab Khan | Shadab Khan |
Mohammad Nawaz | Mohammad Nawaz |
Haris Rauf | Haris Rauf |
Shaheen Afridi | Shaheen Afridi |

It’s clear that Waqar Younis surely want to have a squad that has potential and desire to have an experience T20 player like Shoaib Malik in the squad.
Few of the Pakistani cricket players have been criticized after the disappointing performance in the Asia Cup final where Pakistan lost against underdog Sri Lanka.
