Daughter Says Actor Was Unwell for Some Time; Funeral to Be Held When Son and Daughter Arrive
Abid Kashmiri, a beloved senior actor from Pakistan, has passed away. His family shared that he had been unwell for some time, and his daughter confirmed the sad news.

Kashmiri had a long and successful career in television, stage, and film. He acted in hundreds of TV dramas and movies, and people praised his versatile acting skills. He is survived by two sons and two daughters.
His funeral prayers are delayed as his one son is in the U.S. and a daughter is in Canada. Their flights back to Pakistan have not been confirmed yet. Until they arrive, his body will be kept in the mortuary. Kashmiri recently visited Pakistan and appeared on several TV talk shows, although he lived in the U.S. He won the Nigar Award for comedy in the 1988 film “Bazar-e-Husan.” Some of his memorable TV dramas include “Samundar,” “Suraj ke Sath Sath,” “Teesra Kinara,” “Apnay Log,” and “Lohari Gate.”
