The infamous case of Uzma Khan vs Malik Riaz’s daughters is a gift that seems to keep on giving. Not a day has gone by since the infamous video went viral that we haven’t seen a new interesting update.
Actress Uzma Khan may not be the most famous face in the Pakistan entertainment industry, but a series of viral videos has surely put her in the spotlight. A video has been going viral for the last couple of days, where two women along with guards barge into Uzma Khan’s house, wreaking havoc.
The women were later known as ‘Malik Riaz’s daughter’. One of them claimed that the actress was having an affair with her husband which led to the incident.
After the video went viral on social media, Uzma khan appealed to the government to help her file a case against the real estate tycoon Malik Riaz’s ‘daughters’ for harassment and blackmail.
This is my official statement – Remember your gunmen pointed their guns towards two orphans and sexually harassed. We might be weak but now we have faith in Allah and people of Pakistan. I request you to share my statement and standby me in my difficult times. #uzmakhan pic.twitter.com/0QNgBUlTRb

Deal over Justice?
According to reports, it seems the actress has shed her aim of seeking justice and has settled with the high profile family. It is important to mention here that Uzma Khan’s lawyers have also disassociated themselves from the case.
Barrister Khadija Siddiqui took to Twitter to announce her stance on the Uzma Khan case. She tweeted, “my conscience doesn’t allow me to be part of any of (any settlement).”
This is to announce that we are disassociating from #UzmaKhan case.I understand the reasons of any settlement by two aggrieved women in a rigged system,my conscience doesn’t allow me to be part of any of that, even in a professional capacity.

Later on Tuesday, Lawyer Hassaan Niazi also tweeted saying, “I pray that a day will come when the law is equal for all.”
We understand our clients’ position, they wanted to get justice but the system allows powerful aggressors to do as they please, with no accountability! I pray that a day will come when law is equal for all. Our fight for justice continues. https://t.co/FEMGZ4RWgz

While both the lawyers clarified their stance about the ongoing situation. Uzma Khan who had been actively vocal has now chosen to stay silent over the matter.
On the other hand, social media is ripe with a new debate. What deal was offered for the settlement?
#UzmaHomeWrecker trends on twitter
Following the ongoing scandal, social media personality Waqar Zaka has also made some shocking revelations in his youtube video. While he has shared his understanding of the matter he has also asked his followers to trend #UzmaHomeWrecker on twitter so that no other wife or family has to go through the same ordeal.
As Uzma Khan has allegedly settled a deal over seeking justice, social media users are now rethinking their stance on the whole matter.
Those who were in support of the actress are disappointed that she chose a settlement instead of doing ‘what was right’.

While details of the alleged settlement are still confidential, many people see this as an indirect acceptance of wrongdoing from both sides.
Uzma Khan recently issued a statement where she voiced her distraught over how her case is being handled.
‘I am totally shattered’
“My FIR is legal. Blatant maligning and mudslinging is [sic] only reflective of our society’s deep-rooted misogyny and patriarchy.” She wrote in her latest official statement.
“I am totally shattered. Probably beyond repair. But please I beg of you NOT to make this a fight of women attacking other women.”
“I request the police to register my FIR and conduct my and my sister’s medical examination before our wounds start to heal. Hoping I am as much Pakistani as Malik Riaz.”
