Trump Charges his Presidential Campaign Hints at Softening Immigration Policy

Donald Trump in an interview announced that he would, as President soften the immigration policy days after Biden’s announcement to soften the immigration policy.

Reflecting on Trump’s incumbent tenure as the president of the United States he held a tough policy on immigration. Trump’s first tenure (2016-2020) saw the development of the Mexican border and a ban on immigrants from Muslim countries.

Trump faced a tough time from the Democratic party who have held a soft corner for the immigration policy. In recent US President Biden announced a counterbalance to his border crackdown. Biden recently announced a citizenship pathway for immigrants married to US nationals.

Trump’s new update on his possible immigration plan came as a surprise. In an interview cum podcast Trump announced softening his stance on immigration policy. Trump said “What I want to do and what I will do is, you graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically as part of your diploma a green card to be able to stay in this country,”

US ex-president further clarified  “anybody who graduates from a college,” including those who complete two-year programs, known as junior colleges, and doctoral graduates.”

Trump vowed to bring the sharpest and brightest minds to the US. “I do promise” Trump stated when asked.

Pointing out the brain drain of the USA. Trump called out individuals graduating from different universities. Their inability to secure jobs in the USA. “I know of stories where people graduated from a top college, or from a college, and they desperately want to stay here… and they can’t.

“They go back to India, they go back to China. They do the same basic company in those places and they become multi billionaires employing thousands and thousands of people,” Trump said.

It is hard to imagine Trump’s change of attitude as a populist move. Trump is a businessman and he portrays himself as one of the best.

The USA will hold its election by the end of this year. Trump will be standing against Biden. Trump is gathering support with rallies and campaigns throughout the country.

Though small in number Trump’s supporters also amount to people who have become sickened by the ” pronoun trouble”. They are supposedly modernists.
