An elderly man was killed during the hearing of a blasphemy case against him at the Peshawar Judicial Complex earlier this week. A case was registered against the man, who was also a US citizen, under blasphemy laws. The person who did this act was appreciated in a tweet by Shahroz Sabzwari supporting the killer.
Tahir Ahmed Naseem, 47, was a resident of Pishtakhara. He appeared before the court when a man just barged in and opened fire on him.
However, Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Ali Gandapur and SSP (operations) Mansoor Aman has taken notice of the incident. The shooter was arrested on the spot.
The incident has sparked a debate again social media. Blasphemy is a serious crime in Islamic societies. In Pakistan also, one segment of the society believes that blasphemy by anyone cannot be condoned. However, another segment says no-one should be allowed to take laws into his own hands.
Actor Shahroz Sabzwari in hot water
Actor Shahroz Sabzwari and controversies don’t stay away for long. He is once again grabbing headlines this time, not for his love life. This time, he has touched a serious rather sensitive issue.
Shahroz is sharing a series of posts on his Twitter and Instagram supporting the killing of Naseem. Shahroz Sabzwari even supports the killer calling him ‘a ghazi’ in a tweet, tweeting Salute Ghazi. Many people are now reporting and bashing him on Twitter.
Shahroz Sabzwari only remembers Islam when it suits him. He appearantly knows the punishment for blasphemy but what is the punishment for cheating bhai? @ShahrozSabzwari

Disgusting to glorify a killer who murders a handcuffed, defenceless, mentally ill prisoner in cold blood. This is not Islam or love of the Holy Prophet. This is madness hatred, zulm and psychosis. SHAME ON YOU

Pakistani actor Shahroz, who is constantly being bashed for several reasons in the past few months, also tried to give a befitting reply to his trolls. Shahroz Sabzwari, we believe, collectively called them ‘rats and snakes’ in one of his Instagram posts and now tweets Salute Ghazi for such people and supports the killer.
