Senate’s Standing committee has taken notice of the internet disruption in Pakistan. Moreover, the loss calculated amounted to Rs. 500 million.
Senators part of the committee told the committee of the problems faced by the citizens with the slow internet. Additionally, the IT sector was discussed. Moreover, loss in the IT sector was brought into question. Moreover, the amount realized was up to Rs 500 million. Meanwhile, freelancers were also brought into question, facing devastating financial loss.

Senate was also to hear additional information on the firewall update. However, the hearing could not take place. Additionally, PTA’s representatives were absent. It was them who were to update on the firewall upgrade.
