When it comes to following the religious scholars, the general perception is that they have a very extremist approach. Most of the scholars are mostly about issuing fatwa and targeting aspects that may not require much attention either.
Whenever we come across a religious scholar who has an open-minded approach and spreads kindness with the right approach, he or she instantly catches our attention. The message of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) to spread and welcome Muslims with kindness and peacefully, there are a few scholars who honor the Prophet’s words and try doing their job in a similar manner. Shaykh Azhar Nasser is definitely one of them!
Shaykh Azhar Nasser Recently Took it On Social Media and Valued How There is No Harm in Wishing Christians Christmas
Thank you Pastor Tim for your gracious invitation and warm hospitality. My wife @LayaBehbahani and I deeply cherish your friendship. May God inspire us all with the love and wisdom of Prophet Jesus. pic.twitter.com/B7roDNoYV1

He wishes to honor the different religions and believe the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) did the same.
I’m so glad I was introduced to Islam before I was introduced to Muslims. Islam is love, beauty and wisdom.
Many Muslims are intolerant, humorless, and ignorant
Also, stop messaging me about how it’s haram to send gifts to Christians and Jews. I actually studied Islam, u didn’t

Well Said Indeed
Send your Christian and Jewish friends flowers, gifts or cards during the holiday season. It’s a nice gesture and is precisely the type of manners our Holy Prophet taught us.

An Incident We May Have Forgotten
My fellow Muslims:
Remember that the Holy Prophet sent the early Muslims to Abyssinia to escape religious persecution. Abyssinia was ruled by a righteous Christian king, NajashiOur Holy Prophet built bridges with members of other Abrahamic faiths. Follow him not the radicals.

Because the Imam was spreading how it welcoming and loving we should be towards Christians, many spoke against his preaching and Shaykh, well, he was very peaceful about it as well…just like one should be.
To the dude who keeps sending me hadith about how I’m going to hell for wishing Christians a happy holiday.
So a couple things. I admire your persistence but dear God your grammar is atrocious.
I’ll buy you something next Eid because clearly someone hurt you.

And Indeed, We Have Forgotten About that, Based on Radical Approaches
Before the Holy Prophet taught Muslims how to pray, he taught them how to be decent human beings. Islam is built on human ethics and noble character.
Every religious ritual is intended to nurture human decency, integrity and enlightenment. #RealIslam

In the opinion of many, the faith of a Muslim shouldn’t be weak enough to be bothered if someone respects the religious differences. Back in the day, the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) welcomed people from different religions and preached them.
That is the approach we Muslims need to practice.
May Allah guide us to the right path!
