Ramadan Moon Not Sighted in Pakistan; Holy Month to Begin on March 2

On Friday, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee said that the moon of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak has not been seen in Pakistan.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met in Peshawar, led by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, to talk about how to see the new moon.

However, no one in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, or anywhere else in the country said they saw the moon.

Muslims will start the holy month of Ramadan on March 2, 2025, which is a Sunday.

At the meeting about seeing the moon, there were weather experts and religious leaders from all schools of thought in Islam.

Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad said that the weather was cloudy in some parts of Pakistan and clear in others, but that no one in the country had seen the moon.

Later, the Ministry of Religious Affairs sent out an official notice to confirm this.

In Islam, the ninth month is Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, which means “the month of fasting.”

Muslims must not eat, drink, talk about other people, or curse during the fast. Instead, they are told to focus on meditative activities like praying, reading the holy Quran, and giving to others.

They should think about their religion, be more self-disciplined, and become more devoted to it during this time. This is the month when Muslims are told to focus on prayer, reading the Quran, and doing good things for other people.

In the meantime, many places around the world are getting ready for Ramadan 2025, the holy month of Islam. The start of Ramadan is announced by the right officials based on moon sightings in several countries.
