Pakistan Petroleum Dealer Association (PPDA) Threatens Nationwide Shutdown Amidst Tax Levy by Government.

PPDA chairman Abdul Sami Khan expressed concerns over the fiance bills 0.5 % advance turnover tax imposed on petroleum. Pointing to the difficulty operating petrol pumps. Moreover, he mentioned shutdown on 5th July if the government doesn’t comply.

Furthermore, Khan accuses the government of supporting smugglers, and, taxes on every transition is burdening petroleum dealers.

Meeting with the PM, Khan mentioned the PM’s helplessness in the situation, in a meeting prior. Moreover, the PPDA delegation is to meet with the Finance minister, Petroleum minister, and chairmen of FBR.
