Pakistani Forces Neutralize 16 Terrorists in Bannu Cantt Operation: ISPR

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) told on Wednesday that Pakistani security forces stopped a terrorist attack in Bannu Cantt, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The military’s public relations office says that 16 Khawarij terrorists were killed by Pakistani security forces, including four suicide bombers, to stop a cowardly attack on Bannū Cantt.

The official news agency ISPR says attackers tried to do a lot of damage, but security forces responded quickly and effectively.

To get past the security perimeter, the attackers rammed two trucks carrying explosives into the wall of the cantonment. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that 16 terrorists, including four suicide bombers, were killed because security staff were brave and took swift action.

During the raid, five security guards gave their lives while fighting bravely. The suicide bombers’ blasts hurt the perimeter wall and did a lot of damage to a mosque and civilian homes nearby. ISPR said that 13 innocent people died and 32 others were hurt because of this.

Afghan citizens were involved in the Bannu Cantt attack, according to the first probe. ISPR also said that the attack was planned by people who work with Khawarij terrorists who operate out of Afghanistan.

The statement also said Pakistan expected the temporary Afghan government to stop using its land against it.

“Pakistan reserves the right to take necessary measures in response to cross-border terrorism.”
