China to send its mission to the dark side of the moon with Pakistani payload. Institute of Space Technology Pakistan (IST) in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University and SUPARCO will be sending a rocket, a part of China’s Chang’s6 mission. The rocket is set with two optical lenses that will observe the south side of the moon. The request to send a rocket to the south side is not a new one, with the news of China’s attempt at India’s Chandrayaan-3 and the US to send 2 astronauts to the south side by 2026. The objective of China’s lunar mission will be to capture pictures and rare materials like dust from the South side of the moon. The take-off is to take place from Hanian, China on Friday at PST 12:50 which is will telecasted live on IST’s website.
