Pakistan Bar Council Eyes the Demand for the Commencement of Constitutional Courts

The Pakistan Bar Council seeks constitutional amendments to establish Constitutional Courts. Additionally, the decision came to aid the Supreme Court, considering the massive influx of political cases.

Moreover, the establishment would save time, and more swift justice could be provided. In addition to it, the Bar Council also seeks the appointment of Ad hoc Judges.

While many retired judges have been reached out. However, many have abstained. Moreover, Justice (R) Mushir Alam and Maqbool Baqar declined for the role of ad hoc judges. The Bar Council has defined a three-year term for the judges.

Pakistan Bar Council will conceive a meeting tomorrow, Friday, July 19th. Meanwhile, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Issa will head the meeting.

Judges nominated for ad-hoc posts include Mushir Alam, Maqbool Baqar, Mazhar Alam Miankhel, and Sardar Tariq Masood.
