Oxford University has excluded Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, from the race to become its next chancellor. The university released a list of 38 approved candidates, and Khan’s name is missing. The university disqualified him based on its regulations, citing his political role and criminal conviction.

Several prominent figures, including Lord William Hague and Lady Elish Angiolini, remain in the running. Voting for the top candidates will begin on October 28. Imran Khan had earlier served as the chancellor of the University of Bradford from 2005 to 2014.
