OpenAI has announced to launch its own search engine next Monday. OpenAI’s search engine launch is set just a day before the Google 1/0 conference. OpenAI’s launch of its search engine is being loosely termed ChatGPT’s extension.

Google itself is said to announce its AI update at the 1/0 conference. Google holds about 91% of the search engine share.

The launch of Open AI will only aggravate the rivalry of Open AI and Google.

Open AI is set to give competition to Perplexity AI. A direct competition exists between open AI and perplexity in AI search engines. With AI search engine amounts to 1.1 billion searches.
