Last year, when a video of a barefooted Umm-e-Rubab walking out of court went viral on social media, the issue was emphasized on social media and news channels alike but people later forgot about it.
The aim of walking barefoot to the court’s proceeding, Rubab said was for it to be registered as a protest against the partial justice system “which is not deemed fair and impartial most of the times”.
