The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 2 is just around the corner and the ‘awaam’ seems super excited. Different people from different cities have locked-in their loyalties to teams in the tournament. The former champions, Islamabad United, however, are not having the best pre-starts to the season.
Islamabad United’s PR team had been building up the hype of their season-2 official song release for almost a month and the supporters were extremely excited. However, within a short while of the song’s release, Islamabad United’s Twitter account had to delete the tweet which contained the song’s link. Why, you ask? Well, see for yourself.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Momina Mustehsan’s ‘Islamabad United’ song

Unfair to compare Momina Mustehsan with Taher Shah, Taher Shah at-least doesn’t fake his accent.

If you’re pretty you can get away with anything, even murdering half the population with your singing #MominaMustehsan

And I thought Taher Shah was the worst singer Pakistan could ever have. Thank you Momina Mustehsan for proving me wrong ????

Oh just by the way.. this was the song Momina sang for Isb-United
We’re no one to judge, but the hate was extremely strong in this one. The singer was hit all across the park for boundaries, while Islamabad United seemed absolutely stumped (damn these puns good). It is sort of unfair to Momina as she just cannot get herself out of people’s notice for all the wrong reasons.
Still, the magnitude of the trolling is not justified. Welcome to PSL-2, the season banter takes over cricket.
