You know those days where everything seems to be going wrong?
You’re not having the greatest hair/hijab day, your co-workers and friends are annoying you, and you got yelled at for some reason, and everything is just terrible.

If all else fails to cheer you up, just think of the guy who is having a day way worse than yours!
Marco Marsala, a hosting provider who is in the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for websites, accidentally deleted his entire company, and the websites that he looks after his clients for!
Asking for advice on how to recover the information lost on an IT forum, Mr. Marsala got all sorts of responses – but none which gave him good news.

Marco Marsala had accidentally written a small piece of code, “rm -rf”: , which basically tells the server to delete everything forcibly, even back-ups, without giving a warning.

Though Mr. Marsala may not have been the first person to have had this unfortunate incident happen, he certainly could have prevented it, according to the users of Server Fault.
“This is not bad luck: it’s astonishingly bad design reinforced by complete carelessness.”
