James Andreson Bids Farewell to Test Cricket

After an enormous and prosperous test career of 21 years, James Andreson retired from test cricket. A gadfly for the batters James played his last match against West Indies.

His career began at Lords and ended as well. James had a career of 21 years, taking his last three wickets in his last match. Adding to the embellishment, James took 704 wickets in his test career.

Moreover, he has been praised by many including the captain of the English test team Ben Stooks. Stooks added  “A lot of people turned up to watch us but it was great to send Jimmy off the way he deserves. We weren’t quite banking on it to finish on day three but it is an amazing crowd. He is one of the ‘GOATs’ of English cricket.”

Furthermore, ECB chief Richard Thompson added “I do not think we will ever see a bowler to match Jimmy again. It has been an honour as an England fan to watch him, and to marvel at his skill with the ball,”

Meanwhile, James Andreson himself added “To get a win and to contribute to a win it is literally every time I have put on this shirt been about trying to win games for England’.

More to the match against West Indies debutant Gus Atkinson took a 10-wicket haul, a proper change of hands. Gus, in the presentation, noted his honor to play well in Jame’s last match.
