Israeli authorities have confirmed the death of 11 patients and 153 diagnosed amidst the outbreak of West Nile virus.
Israel’s Health Ministry has pointed to the country’s central region to be the most affected. Cities affected include Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Kiryat Ono, Petah Tikva etc.
Authorities have urged citizens to follow SOPs; public and preventive measures.

West Nile Virus is a fever that is poultry born. Moreover, it is transmittable from animals to humans. Furthermore, it is transmitted through mosquitos.
