Naeem Panjutha, one of Khan’s lawyers, announced that the court in Rawalpindi overturned the conviction and seven-year prison sentence for the couple. The court’s order stated that if Khan and his wife are not wanted in any other case, they should be released. Bushra Bibi, Khan’s third wife and a spiritual healer, was previously married and divorced in November 2017, just under three months before marrying imran Khan. Under Islamic law in Pakistan, a three-month waiting period is required before a new marriage.

However, it is important to note that women testimony is regarded as primary evidence.
