Subjecting Mood Change in College Students to Positive Psychology. Research aims to understand the exact nature of change and its intensity. Moreover, the theoretical use of PERMA (Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationship, Meaning, and Accomplishment) is visible.

Using the PERMA theoretical framework as a guide for group counseling will provide desirable results. Educational authorities and families may find the objective convenient to explore the educational framework and student’s prospects.

Research pertained group of 44 students divided equally. Receiving guidance of opposite ends. Guidance restricted to positive psychology showed a positive change in mood/behavior. The data analyzed used POMS (Profile of Mood States). Guidance using positive psychology provided beneficial results.

The result provided a behavior change and a rise in participation, a reduction in negative emotion, for positive psychology.

Such a result redirects our attention to the educational framework. peer pressure, and family pressure for students.

Student’s ages and groups stand indifferent because of the method’s inclusiveness. Multiple educational institutions, therefore, can use the research.
