France has deported Omar bin Laden, son of Osama bin Laden, for posting comments on social media that glorified terrorism. Omar had lived in Normandy, France, for several years with his British spouse.

Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau confirmed the ban, stating that bin Laden is now barred from returning to France. The decision followed a social media post in 2023 on his father’s birthday, which raised concerns with French authorities.
