A tragic shooting at a mosque in Oman has left four Pakistanis dead and 30 others injured. This rare act of violence happened early Tuesday in Wadi al-Kabir, near Muscat, during a significant religious event for Shia Muslims.
Videos show people fleeing the Imam Ali Mosque as gunfire rang out. The attackers were “neutralized” by Omani security forces. Pakistan’s foreign ministry condemned the attack and praised Oman for handling the situation.

Omani police are investigating and have taken security measures. The motive and suspects are still unknown. Pakistan’s ambassador to Oman, Imran Ali, visited the wounded in hospitals. The US Embassy in Muscat issued a security alert for its citizens.
