Petrol and diesel prices have again fallen. The fall down came from normalization in the Middle East. Therefore the government is likely to decrease petrol and diesel prices.
The decrease will commence from the 16th till the 31st of May.
The petrol and diesel prices are at Rs. 288.49 and Rs.290.38. Initially, the government decided to bring petrol and diesel prices down, dated 1st of May, to Rs. 5.45 and Rs. 8.42.
A fall in the current prices will bring down petrol and diesel, at Rs.276.49-274.49, Rs.271.96. The decrease in the petrol and diesel prices amounts to Rs.12-14 and Rs.10.

Petrol and diesel prices are to last till the 31st of May. The government is also to present the budget for FY24-FY25 on the 7th of June.
The fall is related to the fall in tension in the Middle East. However, due to the fragile nature of the region, petrol and diesel prices may change very rapidly.
