Pakistan, the land of pure, follows Islamic principles in its constitution. However, few segments in the country do not follow humanistic traits let alone Islamic principles. In the religion of Islam, animals, and their protection lay utmost importance. However, in the zoo situated at Lahore, a bear is sick and no one is doing anything for the pooer animal. There is even a shortage of water.
As per a social media video, a black bear is showing symptoms of a disease called Zoochosis and the animal is all alone at the Bahria Orchard Zoo Lahore.

As per the post, the bear is probably having Zoochosis disease. This is kind of a psychological behavior. In this disease, a captive animal suffers from stress and depression.
You can't give any excuses when zoochosis & stereotype behaviour is shown by wild animal in captivity.
disheartened to see activist giving excuses on behalf of culprit Punjab wildlife. https://t.co/AZTUJGl39J— Sunil Jamil (@SunilJamill) June 29, 2020

What does Islam say about animals
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said the following about the rights of animals.
“Whoever is merciful even to a sparrow, Allah will be merciful to him on the Day of Judgment.”__ Al-Hadith.
“A good deed done to an animal is like a good deed done to a human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is as bad as cruelty to a human being.” __ Al-Hadith.
“Fear Allah in these beasts who cannot speak.” (Abu Dawud) __ Al-Hadith.
The Companions said,” O Allah’s Messenger! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?” He replied: “There is a reward for serving any living being.” (Bukhari). __ Al-Hadith.
“Who has hurt the feelings of this bird by taking its young? Return them to her.” (Muslim). __ Al-Hadith.
The authorities must take pertinent action against those who are ill-treating the animals in the zoo. Sadly, hunting is rampant in Pakistan and it is the sole responsibility of the government to stop them.
