Asma Abbas is a well-known Pakistani television actress who began her career with PTV shows. She made a comeback in a popular ATV show about legendary actors. Asma has appeared in many famous dramas, including Akbari Asghari, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Kashaf, Deewar e Shab, Khumaar, and Zebaish. She currently stars in ARY Digital’s drama serial Baby Baji Ki Bahuwain. Asma is also the sister of Bushra Ansari and the mother of talented actress Zara Noor Abbas.
Recently, Asma celebrated the Dua e Khair (blessing ceremony) of her son, Ahmed Abbas Gill. Zara Noor Abbas shared pictures from the event, but some social media users trolled Ahmed, saying he has a darker complexion compared to Zara and Asma.
Upset by the comments, Asma decided to speak out against the trolls. She explained, “Ahmed went to Thailand with his friends before his Dua e Khair, and people have trolled him a lot about his sun-tanned skin. It is normal to get a tan during a vacation. You guys have made fun of him a lot. Some said, ‘These actresses are beautiful and fair-skinned, but they marry tan men.’ Others said he looks like a drug addict. Some even commented, ‘Look at her daughter-in-law; she’s so beautiful, but her son is tan.’ You have disturbed my son. He asked me, ‘Why did you post my pictures on Instagram?’ I told him, ‘People always say something. Don’t worry, my son just has temporary tanning; he’s not like that.’”
