AI has made history, again. New technology can now detect heart attacks. Furthermore, experts consider it a ‘game changer’.
New AI model will help detect heart inflammation in the heart that does not show up in CT scans. Moreover, the new process involves a combination of X-rays and computer technology.
Hospitals in Oxford, Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Leicester, and Milton Keynes are running the pilot project. Moreover, NHS England is overseeing the project.
Additionally, its developers Caristo Diagnostics, an Oxford University spin-out cited the addition to the new technology to prevent strokes and heart attacks.

Keth Channon, professor at Oxford University stated “This technology is transformative and game changing because for the first time we can detect the biological processes that are invisible to the human eye, which precede the development of narrowings and blockages [within the heart],”
In addition to the data present, 350,000 patients in the UK go through CT scans for heart attack detection. So, AI-detected inflammation has revolutionized the medical world.

Furthermore, AI-detected inflammation in patients, have a 20 to 30 percent higher risk of a heart attack. Thus, it is unarguable, the new development is a game changer.

Success rate if the new technology runs high. Inflammation has been detected in 45% of patients. Furthermore, it has aided in the prevention of heart attacks.
