A meeting was conducted, recently. led by Sindh Minister for Irrigation and Food Jam Khan Shoro, and ADB’s delegation led by Dr. David Freuilich.
Dr. Freuilich emphasized ADB’s commitment to food security, cultural history preservation, and agricultural development of Pakistan.
Dr. Freuilich said, “The ADB is committed to supporting Pakistan in addressing environmental pollution, promoting food security, agricultural development, and cultural heritage preservation.”.

The project is not only aimed at the development of the coastal areas of Sind but also aims to provide jobs to the locals.

Jam Khan Shoro announced a proper technical plan is set before the groundwork. In a statement, Jam Khan Shoro stated, “A survey, design, and mapping of the Indus Delta in Badin, Thatta, and Sujawal will be conducted before the project begins.”. Jam Khan Shoro also insisted on increasing the capacity of the Karo Gondro and Shakoor drains.
ADB aims to fund the whole project, providing stability to the local economy and environment.
