Airhostess Arrested at Lahore Airport for Smuggling

Customs authorities stopped a currency smuggling attempt at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore by arresting an air hostess.

The Deputy Collector of Customs stated that the air hostess was caught with Saudi Riyals and US Dollars worth Rs. 1.5 lakh hidden in her luggage. She was about to fly out of Lahore to a foreign destination but was offloaded from the plane after suspicions of smuggling arose.

Authorities are investigating further.

In a related incident, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight attendant disappeared in Canada. Noor Sher, assigned to flight PK 781 from Islamabad to Toronto, failed to report for his return flight. This adds to a series of disappearances of PIA staff in Canada, totaling 14 missing individuals.

Earlier this year, Canadian authorities arrested PIA air hostess Hina Sani for carrying multiple passports. She was apprehended upon arrival in Toronto on flight PK-789. Additionally, PIA faced a heavy fine after an air hostess reached Canada without a passport.
