Omer bin Omran, an Algerian from Djelfa, has been found alive after 26 years just 2000 meters away from a neighbor’s cellar.
The family believed that Omer was kidnapped or killed amid the Algerian civil war in the 1990s. The Algerian civil war reported 200,000 and 20,000 dead and killed.
The official sources say that it was an anonymous caller who informed the local prosecutors. The prosecutor directed local authorities.
The neighbor escaped, only to be caught later.

Omer says he was very well aware of his family and kept an eye on them. Omer was even aware of the death of his mother.
Omer believes he couldn’t communicate due to his neighbour’s curse.
Local authorities have taken Omer in custody, under medical and psychological supervision, while running an investigation with the neighbor in trial.
