PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz was summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday in the illegal land transfer case. But, she couldn’t appear before the anti-corruption watchdog because of a clash between PML-N supporters and the police. A known TikToker who makes videos against PM Imran Khan also got arrested.
Maryam alleged that NAB summoned her in a ‘vague’ notice to harm her. However, on the other hand, it has been reported that the clash was planned by PML-N to avoid the hearing.
Her party workers and police clashed outside the anti-corruption watchdog’s office. After a deadlock for over an hour, Maryam head back without appearing before NAB. Police arrest many of the PML-N party workers for creating havoc. Among those, one was famous TikToker Saud Butt, he is also known for making videos against the current government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and PM Imran Khan.
Butt was seen beaten up and later arrested by the police of Punjab. In a video, he also confessed that he came to attend Maryam’s rally but Punjab police beat him for no reason at all.

After the clash, the PML-N vice president said that the call-up notice did not contain any allegations against her. She claimed that the anti-graft watchdog had tried to portray the opposite by releasing information to the media.
“Now I can say that they summoned me to cause me harm,” she said, adding that she most likely would have suffered a head injury had her car not been bulletproof.
However, many of the media outlets have reported and provided evidence about the planned chaos by PML-N supporters.
